Avatar Themed Wedding in Delhi India

Flew out for a last minute job in Delhi. It was a pre-wedding party known as the Sangeet A sangeet is an Indian/Pakistani ceremony which takes place two or three days prior to the wedding.  This particular event was Avatar themed...

I was working with the wonderful Joe Palmer. We were booked to perform synchronized silks to "Sounds of India" which comprised of percussion from all over the world.

Performing alongside us was Edward Maya, a Romanian musician, producer, performer, and composer.

We later performed Champagne Rain. This was pouring champagne from a trapeze bar! CLICK HERE! to see a video!

Overall a very successful event.

Summer Party - Stilt walking and dance walk about

I was invited to perform alongside fellow performers Nicole Pearson, Claire Downey, Sebastian Velade and The Strong men; James Frith and Tony Phipps. The event was a cider fuelled festival summer party. Staff were told to arrive at the train station with wellies, warm jumpers and camping gear (a tent would be provided)...and the rest they would discover upon arrival! We performed a meet and greet with unicycle, stilts, juggling and acrobatics. They then went on to a giant circus big top and fun fair for a big party night.

Silks inside an inflatable Diamond in Istanbul

Just returned from Istanbul. I was performing silks at a wedding for the Dream Engine, only this time a little different...the silks were inside a giant inflated diamond!

The Diamond rose to 11 meters with me all wrapped up inside my silks, hanging from the roof.

The location was stunning,  in the grounds of a converted Palace -  The Luxury Hotel Ciragan Palace, Kempinski Istanbul.

Henley Festival – Heliosphere at Henley on Thames

I was working for the Dream Engine, performing along side acts such as Tom Jones and Jools Holland and countless street theatre performers at the exclusive Henley Festival 2011. An extraordinary and elegant mix of music, art, culture, dining and location.

Slightly windy conditions made for a challenging show, flying down the harbour front and over the water. Guests arrived in their black tie and posh dresses to watch the spectacle.

4 nights of shows in total to take place during the fireworks display…a true feast for the senses!

I had the pleasure of working on the all new "Clearsphere" on the final night.

25th Anniversary of the Port in Palma de Mallorca

Had the pleasure of working with Julien Marionnet from Paraddax Show in Palma de Mallorca.

The sun was setting over the ocean and the guests were arriving in their million dollar yachts to get a good view of the evenings event.

First a speech out on the furthest point of the port and a champagne toast followed by a candle lit dinner at the sea front restaurant.

The square in front of the restaurant had been done up full of floating fish; cleverly tethered together to give the illusion of being under water.

The guests were then taken by surprise when this glowing sphere appeared from the horizon above a flying girl…

We were to fly down the port off of two speed boats…a last minute plan B! An absolutely unforgettable experience flying above water...the views were incredible from up there!

Hanging From a Helium Balloon at the Buitengewoon Festival 2011

Just back from performing at the 18th BuitenGewoon Festival of up coming street theatre in Doitchenem, Holland. The name of the festival translates to “Just Outside” reflecting the types of performances that could be seen.

This is a 3 day arts festival held annually for the public. This year On 24, 25 & 26 June, they had circus companies such as Ochhams Razor, with the show The Mill (Great Britain) and Jango Edwards & Cia Passabarret, with the show Big Boss & Tanda Rica Circus (Spain and United States) performing on the latter days of the weekend.

I was to fly off the bottom of a giant helium balloon for a company called The Dream Engine. This giant balloon is otherwise known as a Heliosphere. We flew up to 25 ft where you could see some gorgeous views over Holland at sunset.

The venue in which we performed was in a car park, next to a beautiful river.

The 25 hour road trip there and back was pretty intense but survived to tell the tale.
